Suzy Snooze

Following on from my last post, I’ve been on the look out for unique and interesting baby products. One thing I’ve noticed since becoming a mother is the importance of sleep. The first few months can be pretty exhausting, trying to coordinate sleeping and eating times so you’re not completely worn out day-to-day.

When you have a little one, it’s important for them (and you!) to form regular sleeping habits. This is crucial for the healthy progression of the baby, and to form life-long habits as they begin growing up.

Suzy Snooze is a baby monitor which combines a monitor, sleep trainer and night light.

The monitor uses light and sound to help babies fall asleep. These two functions are packed into one nice looking shape - a friendly face wearing a hat. The combination of two different materials: plastics and felt gives it a nice touch while hiding the primary functions. The bottom section presents a visually interesting look with a character, where felt hides speaker. The closed eyes and open mouth are also cut from felt. The mouth is a microphone which lets you hear if your baby is crying. The top part of the hat emits a soft warm light and creates a cosy atmosphere in the room.

When the hat pops up, it gently wakes your baby by playing a soft melody.

This interesting object can soothe your child to sleep, a monitor with HD Audio allows you to listen to your child wherever you are. If the child wakes up during the night, thanks to Suzy’s atttuto-soothe function it puts it back to sleep. And finally, Suzy trains your child into a better sleeping routine.
